Butterfly Earrings

These unique earrings are made entirely by hand and no two are EVER alike.

Using PMC, which creates fine silver in the kiln, first the basic shape is textured and cut out.  Then the shape is carefully folded to create what is called a 'fold form'.  Then a tiny butterfly is added to each earring, and a small sky-blue topaz cabochon is added as well.  After firing in the kiln, polishing, and patina'ing to bring out the details, each earring is added to a silver earring hook that has 5 tiny cubic zirconias in it for a little added flash.  These little guys measure in at 3/4" not counting the jump rings or hook.
